A group of researchers, led by Dr. Samuel Baltazar, represented the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) at the 2nd Scientific Mathematical Fair of the Tegualda School of Talagante. During the event, they were presented at a stand dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology, bringing students closer to the incredible world of the invisible.

“I can say that CEDENNA generated a positive impact on our science fair, since the students commented that the microscopic world caught their attention, especially having access to concrete material that allowed them to better visualize the concepts. I greatly appreciate Professor Samuel Baltazar and his team for their professionalism and excellent willingness to participate in the fair," said Professor Mireya Lara, teacher at the educational establishment.

This type of activities reinforces CEDENNA's commitment to scientific dissemination and the training of new generations interested in science and technology.

Tegualda School is a public education institution, dependent on the Talagante Municipal Education Corporation. It is located in the western sector of the Talagante commune, which concentrates a high rate of crimes associated with conditions of violence and with geographic foci of illicit drug trafficking. It serves a large part of the boys, girls and young people in the sector and, according to JUNAEB's characterization, it has an IVE (School Vulnerability Index) equivalent to 97.03%.
