Open Lab CEDENNA is an innovative program that aims to create a node of associated companies to promote research and technological development, in the search for innovative solutions to the challenges of the different productive sectors of the country.
One of the partners of this program is the company Spora Biotech, a science-based startup focused on developing solutions to improve society through biotechnology. It works with technologies based on the mycelium of the fungus (a fungal structure that looks similar to a root) to be able to cultivate microtextures and self-generate sustainable and intelligent microtextiles.
Leopoldo Naranjo, Chief or Scientific Office of Spora shares his experience in this strategic science-industry platform: "CEDENNA offered us a space to work and continue with the development of our cutting-edge scientific projects." He highlights that being partners of the center has given them allowed them to continue deepening their research, with permanent advice from the researchers at the center.
