Nuestra Señora María Inmaculada School had the opportunity to visit the CEDENNA facilities, where students lived a unique educational experience. The day began with an introductory talk by Dr. Fabián Araneda, a researcher associated with CEDENNA, who immersed the young people in the fascinating world of nanotechnology. Through his presentation, students were able to understand in depth the concepts and applications that this emerging field offers for science and technology.
After the talk, the students took a guided tour of the different specialized laboratories of CEDENNA, including the Electron Microscopy, Nanomagnetism, Nanosafety, Packaging and Nanobiomedicine laboratories. In each of these spaces, the students not only closely observed the advanced equipment and techniques used by the researchers, but also had the opportunity to interact with the scientists, who shared their experience and knowledge, thus enriching the visit.
This activity not only sparked students' interest in science and technology, but also gave them a practical and up-to-date view of how nanotechnology is transforming various industries, from medicine to the design of safer and more efficient materials.
