With the title "The challenge of nanotechnology in Chile to protect health and the environment", the Cooperativa Ciencia portal highlights an article in which it refers to the sixth chapter of the program "Nanos a la Obra", which this medium broadcasts every Thursday at 12:00 p.m., in alliance with CEDENNA.
"Nanotechnology offers great advances in various areas, but also presents challenges in terms of the safety of its application. Experts from CEDENNA explain the importance of nanosafety and its role in the responsible research and development of this technology in Chile," specifies the note.
He adds that at the international level, CEDENNA represents Chile before the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in matters of nanosafety, participating in the development of guides, procedures and projects for the characterization and management of nanomaterials.
"The objective is to have a high participation in specific projects and hopefully to have a project under our responsibility," says Mauricio Escudey, director of the Nanosafety Area of CEDENNA.
