CEDENNA researcher Dr. Patricia Díaz, along with Dr. Osvaldo Berger from the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the University of Santiago, Chile (USACH), were recognized by Cooperativa Ciencia for their work developing an innovative cell culture for corneal regeneration.
This research offers real hope for patients with limbal stem cell deficiency, a condition that currently lacks a cure. This advancement could allow for the recovery of vision and a significant improvement in the quality of life for many people.
The project is funded by CORFO through its Crea y Valida program and includes the participation of Clínica Pasteur and Fundación Córnea Chile, strengthening the direct link between scientific research and patients.
