The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) received a group of representatives from the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer (DITT) of the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN) in a productive day dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and experiences. This meeting, key to strengthening collaboration between scientific institutions, focused on exploring joint opportunities to promote the development of innovative technologies based on nanoscience and nanotechnology.

The day included a tour of the CEDENNA laboratories, where UCN visitors had the opportunity to learn in detail about advances in areas such as Electron Microscopy and Technology Transfer. CEDENNA researchers shared their most recent developments, fostering a space for dialogue and mutual learning.

The main objective of the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer (DITT) of the UCN is to foster, manage and promote research, development, innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer (R+D+i+e+TT) activities within the university community. of their campuses. Through these actions, the DITT seeks to contribute to the economic and social development of its territory and the country, in line with the third institutional mission of the UCN.

Additionally, the DITT plays a crucial role in the intellectual and industrial protection of research results, promoting technology transfer through initiatives such as the USQAI Entrepreneurship and Cowork Laboratory. Likewise, it works in close collaboration with the UCN Scientific and Technological Park Foundation to link the university with public-private entities and promote the creation of technology-based companies.

These types of meetings between CEDENNA and the UCN are essential to promote inter-institutional collaboration and generate new technological solutions that positively impact society. Through this type of activities, the center reaffirms its commitment to the transfer of scientific knowledge towards practical applications that benefit various productive sectors.
