The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) will open its nanotechnology course to healthcare students and professionals for the first time. The initiative, recently highlighted by Cooperativa Ciencia, seeks to bring the most innovative scientific advances to those on the front lines of clinical practice.

The course will begin on May 26 and will be taught online, allowing for broad participation nationwide. This new version will feature leading national researchers, who will address the current and future impact of nanotechnology in areas such as cancer treatment, controlled drug release, regenerative medicine, and early diagnosis. In addition, an optional practical session will be offered for those who wish to complement the theoretical content with a more applied experience.

"Nanotechnology is already present in cutting-edge treatments, but the medical world still has limited access to this information. This course precisely seeks to reverse that situation," explained Dr. Dora Altbir, Executive Director of CEDENNA and 2019 National Prize Winner in Exact Sciences.
