CEDENNA Researchers Win Idea I+D 2024 Contest

Three projects by researchers associated with CEDENNA applied for and won the Idea I+D 2024 Contest of the Fund for the Promotion of Scientific and Technological Development (Fondef), awarded by the State through the National Agency for Research and Development (ANID).

This fund aims to "promote the development of research and innovation projects based on scientific and technological foundations in close collaboration with the private sector, civil society, and the State, contributing to increased competitiveness, well-being, and quality of life for the population."

We invite you to review the details of the three winning projects, led by Drs. Luis Costandil, Roberto Lavin, and Abel Guarda (Packaging Technology Line and Laben):

1. Nanoparticles from natural polymers loaded with botanical antifungal agents to prevent wood fungi damage in fruit trees and vineyards.
2. Nanotechnology Concrete Project
3. Design of a prototype cardboard created with nanostructures from renewable, compostable, and recyclable sources.
