Minicurso

This Wednesday, May 29th, the mini course "Magnetism and Molecular-Based Materials" will begin, taught by two CEDENNA researchers, Drs. Diego Venegas (USACH) and Verónica Paredes (UNAB), along with an international guest: Professor Javier Campo Ruiz from the Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragón (INMA) and the University of Zaragoza.

The event is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students who are not specialists in the subject. It is an excellent opportunity to expand their knowledge in one of the most innovative areas of materials science.

This initiative arises from a project of the Faculty of Chemistry and Biology of USACH, USA-21991, which aims to bring international guests to the university to teach mini courses.

Javier Campo is the author of over 170 scientific articles and principal investigator in 56 research projects. He has supervised 5 doctoral theses (and 4 in progress) and has held several international memberships, including vice-presidency of ENSA from 2009 to 2014, Spanish delegate on the Steering Committee of ILL since 2008, International Advisor of the Dan Benninson Nuclear Technology Institute (Argentina) and the Global Institute for Materials Research Tohoku (Sendai, Japan), Advisor to the Directorate of the Argentine Neutron Beams Laboratory, President of the Spanish Committee on Large-Scale Research Infrastructures (CAIS), President of the VI-ECNS European Congress, Member of the High Committee of Science, Technology and Innovation of Aragón.

Dr. Venegas, leader of the Nano-Structures Chemistry Line at CEDENNA, states that he has been developing "joint work with Dr. Campo for years, even co-supervising a PhD thesis in Chemistry from the University of Santiago de Chile (USACH) and in Physics from the University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR) in a double graduation program."
