Dr. Juliano Casagrande Denardin, researcher at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) and professor at the University of Santiago de Chile, has been appointed as the new director of CEDENNA, replacing Dr. Juan Escrig Murúa.
With a solid academic background, Dr. Casagrande holds a Bachelor's and Doctorate in Physics and has developed a distinguished career in the study of nanomaterials and magnetism. His research focuses on the development of magnetic nanostructures with applications in heavy metal decontamination, sensors, and nanobiomedicine.
In his new role, Dr. Casagrande has expressed his commitment to strengthening the Center's visibility, promoting new collaborations with national and international researchers, and enhancing the technological services offered by CEDENNA. His goal is to consolidate the Center as a benchmark in nanoscience and nanotechnology both in Chile and abroad.
At CEDENNA, we thank Dr. Juan Escrig Murúa for his valuable leadership of the Center and extend a warm welcome to Dr. Casagrande in this new role.
