The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, CEDENNA, began distributing its 2026 Calendar, an initiative that brings together science, art and education from images of the nano world obtained through electron microscopy by researchers and students.

The five images in this calendar are the winning entries from the internal competition “CEDENNA Images 2026,” which aims to highlight the visual beauty of scientific research at the nanoscale. Each of these micrographs was subsequently creatively altered by its author, resulting in unique graphic pieces that blend art and science.

One of the most innovative aspects of this new edition is its interactive nature. Each image includes a QR code that provides access to exclusive audiovisual content: a video in which the author explains in detail the origin of the image, the technique used, and the motivation behind its creation.

In addition, the calendar incorporates educational activities specially designed for students, with proposals that teachers and students can develop in the classroom to approach the world of nanoscience and nanotechnology in an entertaining way.

The CEDENNA 2026 calendar will be distributed to educational establishments in different regions of the country, with the aim of fostering scientific curiosity and promoting interest in research among new generations.
