In a day marked by the exchange of knowledge and the projection of innovative solutions, Dr. Khotso Mokhele, Chairman of the Board of Westfalia Fruit Chile and a leading figure in science and innovation at a global level, visited CEDENNA facilities to learn about the advances in nanotechnology applied to the food and fruit sector.
During his tour, Dr. Mokhele was accompanied by Dr. Dora Altbir, Executive Director of CEDENNA Foundation, who led the presentation of key developments driven by the research center, such as:
- High-precision sensors for pesticide detection.
- Innovative technology in extrusion processes.
- Advanced solutions in biodegradability and compostability
The visit also included the participation of Hans Eben, Chief Officer of Westfalia Fruit South America, and Daniela Dall’Orso, environmental specialist, who highlighted the potential of these innovations to transform productive practices in the fruit sector, promoting a more sustainable approach.
This meeting, which included researchers from CEDENNA and the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (LABEN), reinforces the importance of alliances between science and the productive sector to move towards a more innovative future committed to sustainability.
