Within the framework of its scientific dissemination activities, the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) arrived at the María Inmaculada School, located in the commune of El Bosque, to bring students closer to the fascinating world of nanoscience. On this occasion, Dr. Samuel Baltazar, academic at the University of Santiago and associate researcher at CEDENNA, offered an educational talk in which he presented the foundations of nanoscale science and its applications in areas such as medicine, energy and environment.

The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) received a group of representatives from the Directorate of Innovation and Technology Transfer (DITT) of the Universidad Católica del Norte (UCN) in a productive day dedicated to the exchange of knowledge and experiences. This meeting, key to strengthening collaboration between scientific institutions, focused on exploring joint opportunities to promote the development of innovative technologies based on nanoscience and nanotechnology.

A group of researchers, led by Dr. Samuel Baltazar, represented the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) at the 2nd Scientific Mathematical Fair of the Tegualda School of Talagante. During the event, they were presented at a stand dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology, bringing students closer to the incredible world of the invisible.

Today, we received a pleasant visit from 3rd and 4th grade students from the San Andrés de Maipú School in our facilities. During the day, young people had the opportunity to learn in depth about the research and advances carried out at CEDENNA, in the field of nanotechnology.

During the day, students from schools and universities had the opportunity to learn up close about the advances and projects that we are developing at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, bringing them a little closer to the fascinating world of the invisible..

 We feel very proud to have been part of this initiative, sharing our contribution in nanoscience and nanotechnology with all attendees.

The fourth-grade students of the Nuestra Señora María Inmaculada School had the unique opportunity to explore the world of the nanoscale with a visit to the laboratories of the CEDENNA Nanoscience and Nanotenology Center.

 The day began with an enriching introductory talk by Dr. Mauricio Escudey, researcher associated with CEDENNA and head of the Nanosafety laboratory. During this session, the students delved into the fundamental concepts of nanoscience and nanotechnology, opening their minds to new frontiers of knowledge.

The 6th grade students of the San José de la Familia School (La Pintana) immersed themselves in the world of nanotechnology after visiting the laboratories of the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology.

Thanks to an introductory talk given by Dr. Fabián Araneda, a researcher associated with CEDENNA, the students entered the fascinating world of nanotechnology, exploring different laboratories of the Center.

The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology received a visit from the Alta Cumbre School of Curicó, an experience that allowed students to delve into the universe of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

This day began with an inspiring talk given by the researcher associated with the CEDENNA Center Dr. Fabián Araneda, who shared his vast knowledge about the advances and applications of nanoscience in different areas. The students were enthusiastic to discover how these cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing sectors such as medicine, mining, industry, among others.

In a ceremony that sealed Mining Month, Dr. Dora Altbir Drullinsky, Executive Director of the CEDENNA Foundation, was recognized as one of the most outstanding women in the mining industry in the third edition of the book "100 Women who Inspire in the Chilean Mining 2024".

For almost three months, Jesús Núñez Rengel, a Venezuelan researcher and doctoral student at the Institute of Biomedicine and Applied Sciences of the Universidad de Oriente, developed a research internship at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) at the University of Santiago de Chile. This valuable exchange was possible thanks to funding from the Latin American Academy of Sciences and the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, based in Washington.
