Radio Cooperativa Ciencia interviews Dr. Patricia Díaz about innovative cancer treatment

Interview conducted by Radio Cooperativa Ciencia with Dr. Patricia Díaz, in charge of the CEDENNA Nanobiomedicine Laboratory, about the innovative cancer treatment being developed in this research center. Using magnetic nanoparticles, CEDENNA is working on a technology that has the potential to attack tumors and cancer cells in a highly localized manner, without causing damage to healthy tissues or surrounding organs. The research is led by Dr. Patricia Díaz together with Dr. Patricio Vargas (co-investigator) and student Franco Álvarez.

CNN Chile's Minería 360 highlighted "Nanotechnology: Innovative solutions for Chilean mining" where it is explained how nanotechnology is positioned as a key tool in the Chilean mining industry and other productive sectors, offering innovative and efficient solutions.

CNN Chile also highlighted the advances in Technology Transfer that CEDENNA has through its developments and services, which could be seen recently in the scientific exhibition to leading executives from different companies, such as Copec, Enel, SQM, Codelco, Nestlé, among other.

The "Images of the Nanomundo" Exhibition as an instrument of dissemination that unites science and art to bring nanoscience and nanotechnology closer to audiences of all ages, was the topic addressed by the director of CEDENNA, Dr. Dora Altbir, in the interview that made by the journalist Catalina Palma in the program +100Cia of Canal 13.

Una intensa jornada de formación en nanociencia y nanotecnología contó con la participación de profesores de ciencias de diferentes regiones del país que se dieron cita en el centro de investigación más grande del área, CEDENNA (Centro de Nanociencia y Nanotecnología), ubicado en el Edificio de Investigaciones de la USACH.
