Pleasantly surprised by the multiple applications that nanotechnology can contribute to the development of their companies, the representatives of more than thirty productive entities who toured the CEDENNA laboratories to learn first-hand about the way in which the applications of Chilean nanoscience they can help them improve their performances and solve their challenges.

"The activity carried out by CEDENNA is excellent. Dr. Valdivia is a PhD in Physics from the University of Maryland, in the USA, a Simulations researcher at CEDENNA and a tenured professor in the Physics Department of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Chile.

The exhibition "Images of the Nanomundo" concluded its visit to the Ministry of Science, where it surprised both the authorities of that portfolio and the public that was able to visit it in the hall of this Secretary of State during the three weeks that it was housed. Now, the exhibition has been installed in the hall of the Nicanor Parra Library of the Diego Portales University, where it will remain until July 8.

The students of the Swiss Confederation Lyceum who visited the center to learn about nanoscience and nanotechnology were amazed by the state-of-the-art electron microscopy equipment. The second day of the CEDENNA Seminar Cycle addressed how nanotechnology can contribute to the production of safe food, reducing the amount of fertilizers and pesticides used in the fields. And at the same time, from the perspective of nanosecurity, the importance of considering the impact that nanomaterials can have on soils and plants.
