Last Thursday, November 28, the Universidad Central de Chile celebrated its 42nd anniversary in a solemn ceremony held in the Aula Magna "Fundadores". During the event, the institution's trajectory as a pluralistic, inclusive, non-profit educational institution with a democratic governance model unique in the country was highlighted.

Dr. Samuel Baltazar, researcher at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA), together with his team, visited the Leonardo Da Vinci School in Pitrufquén to launch the 1st School Science and Technology Fair.

The main objective of the activity was to promote scientific culture and highlight the benefits of science, technology and innovation, bringing this knowledge closer to the educational community. During the fair, students and teachers had the opportunity to present various school projects, fostering interest in scientific research from an early age.

In a day marked by the exchange of knowledge and the projection of innovative solutions, Dr. Khotso Mokhele, Chairman of the Board of Westfalia Fruit Chile and a leading figure in science and innovation at a global level, visited CEDENNA facilities to learn about the advances in nanotechnology applied to the food and fruit sector.

 

CEDENNA holds the First National Training Meeting in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology for Chemistry Teachers

In a joint effort with the Chilean Network of Chemistry Teachers, CEDENNA organized the First National Training Meeting in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, an unprecedented event aimed at strengthening the pedagogical capabilities of chemistry teachers from across the country.

The event, held at our facilities, brought together leading specialists in the field and an audience of professors interested in bringing advances in nanoscience to Chilean classrooms.

Dr. Jay Gan: Leading chemist from Riverside University visited CEDENNA laboratories

Yesterday, Monday, November 25, 2024, the Center for the Development of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) received a first-class visit. Dr. Jay Gan, a renowned chemist from the University of Riverside, California, United States, toured our facilities and learned about the research advances we are developing.

During his visit, Dr. Gan had the opportunity to explore several key laboratories at CEDENNA, including Electron Microscopy, Nanobiomedicine, Packaging Technologies, Nanostructure Chemistry and Nanosecurity.

Students of the Master of Science in Industrial Civil Engineering from Diego Portales University visited CEDENNA

In a day marked by interest and learning, students of the Master of Science in Industrial Civil Engineering at Diego Portales University toured the facilities of the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA).
