Dr. Juliano Casagrande Denardin, researcher at the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (CEDENNA) and professor at the University of Santiago de Chile, has been appointed as the new director of CEDENNA, replacing Dr. Juan Escrig Murúa.

His research focuses on the development of magnetic nanostructures with applications in heavy metal decontamination, sensors, and nanobiomedicine.
